| PROPHET: LIZARDMESSIAH | | | Deep within the swamplands, in a small Louisiana town,an artificially inseminated fetus was born!! Mixed with bong resin, sweltering slabs of bacon, brewed in a giant pot of backwoods gumbo for nine long month and discovered by the metal godz, this child of the jesus lizard was placed on a strict diet of bacon grease and doom metal for most of his childhood. When the time was right, when all the weed in the city was consumed, and all genres of metal were learned, the child took his rightful place on the throne to become the LIZARDMESSIAH!!!
His Myspace url: www.myspace.com/stonedinsanityzine | | | | PROPHET: REV Paul | | | A Pentecostal-raised boy from Maryland who through life's trials turned him away from his upbringing and into satanism .A metalhead since his pre-middle school days. I have been around and about music all my life and heavy , dark DOOM style music , makes me feel something indescribable.
I call it like I see it or feel it, brutal honesty is how I function in all facets of life and will do so in my functions here...
BRING THE DOOM! | | | | PROPHET: Nary | | | I am Nary Sardonyx. I am from Nicholls, Georgia. I front the symphonic metal band, Cardamom, as well as the solitary music project Leporluna. I will warn you ahead of time that I am dangerous for your health. I find comfort in music as an experience, not just a sound. When rain pools around the roots of a tree, and you watch the water slowly absorb into the roots, you are watching a tree experience rain as I experience music. Doom and symphonic metal are my favorite styles of metal, with black metal closely following, depending on my mood. I love discovering new music and I am open to any style of music. When I am not singing songs of wastelands, I am seeking adventure in the magical world of poetry.
| | | | PROPHET: Jenny Rotten | | | I'm 45, and have been a drummer for over 30 years. I've played in all sorts of bands, from metal to alt-country. I'm endorsed by RCI Drums, and otherwise play Pearl drums and Sabian cymbals. And yes, I have a Tama Iron Cobra double pedal. I grew up in the Chicago area, doing the typical high school garage band thing. After high school, I joined the Army and went to Germany, where I was exposed to a whole host of heavy rock that we'd never heard in the US. I went to some of the bigger festivals, and just soaked it up. Now I play in a (dare I say it) cover band.
My future as a drummer is in question, however, due to concerns centering on the health of my right wrist. In the meantime, I've been back into practice with my tattoo machines.
| | | | PROPHET: ePhilosopher9 | | | Location: New Orleans aka Who Dat Nation! Geaux Saints! From the land of Pantera's roots, the alluvial soil which brought us such great bands as Zebra, The Cold, and Louis "Satchmeaux" Armstrong, lol!
Favourite Genre of Metal: I'm just an old veteran cosmic rocker. I tend to lean to the side of progressive rock, played by virtuosos and master craftsmen. Traditionally, groups like Rush and Led Zeppelin forged the basic structure for what has today evolved into metal. Actually, I recently saw the band Yes in concert at the House of Blues. Steve Howe and Chris Squire are still phenomenal musicians, awesome at any age. Or Kaw-Liga, by Hank Williams! I actually have seen the actual wooden statue of the indian Kawliga right up the road from his museum up there in your neck of the woods.
Philosophers and plowmen, each must know his part, to sew a new mentality, closer to the heart. So, what do you think about this pop-culture prophet playing in your ears?
| | PROPHET: Trevor Antonides | | | I am a musician of 23 years, growing my formative years on a study diet of thrash metal, Marlboros, and 2 liters of Mountain Dew. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan; home to a church and bar on every corner, now living in Jacksonville. I have opened for so many bands, and have made many great friendships from those experiences. One of my greatest shows ever was opening for Acid Bath (New Orleans) on 2 dates in Michigan.
Throughout the years, it's great to see some of the new styles that have risen, and some that should have never been, and those who have stayed the course to become legends in metal. Many of these people will never see Cleveland, unless they play a gig to only a few of those that truly understand and bleed music. I also look to develop and keep writing my own music and push the bounds of my prowess and demonize the world!
